A Brief Introduction to Local Spending

UK local spending report launched in April 2009. It shows local authority out-turn spending for 2006-07.

There is an explanation of the study and it's results a PDF describing the project and results and a spreadsheet/form which allows a user to look up a local authority and see associated spending. This is all on the Communities and Local Government webpage.
