This licence entitles the Contractor to distribute to third parties, on the conditions described in the licence, the information published by Eurostat. The licence specifies coverage of data (with exceptions), acknowledgements and responsibilities. The licence is free of charge. #### Exceptions Note that various of the [eurostat microdata datasets](http://epp.eurostat.ec.europa.eu/pls/portal/url/page/PGP_DS_MICRODATA/PGE_DS_MICRODATA_01) are **not** open (from linked page): > Microdata are confidential data which contain information about individual statistical units. The current legal framework enables access to anonymised microdata available at Eurostat only for scientific purposes. The release of the data sets to researchers is governed by Commission Regulations 831/2002 and 1104/2006 implementing Council Regulation 322/97 on access to confidential data for scientific purposes.
